Building an aging friendly community

A not-for-profit collaborative organization comprised of a wide range of community members. With the constant rising number of seniors over the age of 65, Elder Alliance strives to assist the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County in providing exceptional care and assistance with senior services.

In the next two decades, the number of persons over 65 is expected to increase by nearly 30 percent. Elder Alliance is a collaborative community group comprised of persons from local retirement communities, services agencies, educational institutions, the hospitals, consumers and caregivers. Rather than each individual, service organization, or agency working independently, we believe that a collaborative effort will help make Harrisonburg and Rockingham County and aging friendly community for the growing Senior population.
