• J.J. Lives Series This year I will continue to offer this rod. The original was originally offered in a special edition version in memory of John "JJ" Johnson who passed away unexpectedly. JJ was a Michigan Fly Tier, Guide, and friend. This is an outstanding casting rod and my personal favorite fishing rod.
  
  
• The Eastern Classic Series These rods were designed to accommodate a wide variety of fishing conditions where a longer and more powerful rod is needed.
  
  
• The "Ardith" This is a still my best selling rod for good reason. This rod is a perfect Spring Creek Special Rod being 8' 3-Piece 4 wt. A very remarkable rod that is a dream to cast. If you fish tricos, BWOs, and midges then this is the rod for you.
  
  
• The Para 15 Series A classic rod that is truly powerfull 8' 6 wt rod that is good for large rivers, large flies and large trout.
  
  
• Blue Ridge Banty Series A series of Rods for the angler who really wants to challenge the smaller, tighter, and extremely difficult streams and needs a small yet powerfull rod.
  
  
• The Shenandoah Spey An updated series of Rods this year for the angler who really wants to enjoy the benefits of a two handed rod on bigger water. This is a "light" Spey designed for lighter freshwater fishing and for ease of handling yet retains the classic look of a Spey Rod.
  
  
• The Ultra Series This is my new series of bamboo rods that many feel represents a new generation bamboo fly rods. They have a slim line bamboo ferrule that makes them feel like a one piece rod and they are hollowed to make them feel light in the hand and gives a definite "crispness" to them when casting.
  
  
• Custom Rods I have a number of rods that I make specifically for individual customer requirements. I maintain a large library of classic tapers from which I can meet any requirement. I can easily modify these tapers to customize it for a specific angler.

I only use the finest quality components available on all of my rods. Beginning this year, I have an exclusive series of handsome and distinctive custom nickel silver reel seats in classic styles made for me by REC Components.

All rods are expertly crafted to exacting tolerances. The finest cork is selected for the grip and custom turned by me for each rod. I personally wrap each rod with attention to detail and finish each rod with painstaking care to insure a crisp clean look. Each rod reflects the highest degree of craftsmanship possible.

I deliberately limit the number of rods I make each year so I can concentrate on insuring that each rod made is of the highest quality craftsmanship. Each rod comes with 2 tips in the custom spalted maple hexagonal rod case that I make specifically to complement these rods. Together they make a very handsome package that sets them apart from other rods.

Having rods with two tips of different tapers, single tip rods, and a custom metal rod tube options are also available.

With my new JW CNC Bamboo Finish Mill I am able to quickly meet orders. I will now put you on the list for the summer and fall production schedule for delivery in time for fall fishing. I will usually give a firm date for delivery based upon my production schedule and depending if I have blanks already made on my workbench. I will have all winter production rods into the new owner's hands in time for Spring fishing.

The current price (2006) for a two piece Shenandoah Rod with two tips in its matching custom hexagonal spalted maple rod case is $1650 (3 piece is $1750). The price for the Shenandoah Spey $1950 with a matching custom hexagonal rod case. Subtract $200 for delivery with a metal tube vice custom rod case. Call or email for pricing of single tip, one piece, or rods without the custom case. A deposit of $250 is required for all rods.

One of my objectives in life is to help keep and support the tradition of fine bamboo rodmaking alive. Since my rods may not appeal to all anglers, I am pleased to recommend the following east coast Rodmakers who are both my friends and makers of quality rods:

• J. C. Zimny Rods - John makes darkly flamed rods with crisp clean appearance. He is now making an excellent Quad Rod.
