The Official Study from the BMJ on Fly Selection

Yellow Rose

This is my pattern that has proven very effective. I tie this with red thread, sulpher orange dubbing, and yellow calf body for the wing.

A high visability fly.

Disco Pink Lady

This is a high visibility version of a traditional mesquito patern.

This is my favorite fly to try after I have had a rejection of a Royal Wulf.

Parachute Fur Ant

This is a great pattern for summer and the fall. My favorite still water fly.

I usually tie this in size 16 and 18.

Royal Wulf

This is a classic pattern that is indispensible for fishing in the SNP.

I carry a box of these flies in sizes 12/14/16 in both regular and trude versions.
