The Apple Capital Chorus is available to perform for almost any occasion - parties, banquets, meetings, conventions, anniversarys etc. Music will be tailored to suit the event.

Apple Capital Chorus Perforance at Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in WhitePost.

The Apple Capital Chorus at a recent performance at the Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in White Post, VA.


On Saturday, 9/13, at 12:30, three Barbershop Chorus' conducted a ceremony - remembering the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.  The event started with a few opening remarks by the Honorable, Elizabeth Minor, Mayor of Winchester. The program consisted of a historical narrative accompanied with Patriotic Music sung by members of the Apple Capital Chorus of Winchester, VA; the Blue & Gray Chorus of Inwood, WVA; and the Sounds of Shenandoah Chorus from Charlestown, WVA.   Following the ceremony the three chorus' attended a picnic in the park where there was an abundance of good food and more music making.  Douglas Russell was awarded a plaque to commemorate over 25 years of directing barbershop chorus' in the Winchester area - Sweet Adelines included.

*Reference December 15 - Southerlands - -Members will congregate at The First United Methodist Church (rehearsal location) at 3:45 PM to car pool to the Southerlands.

The times indicated above are the arrival times for chorus members to allow sufficient time to prepare for the performance.

The Southerland address is:  600 Mount View St., Front Royal, VA.  The directions are:  entering Front Royal from I66 - South on Rt 340 (Royal Avenue) through Front Royal to West Criser Rd. (Gas Station on right at intersection).  Turn right onto W. Criser Rd to Mount View Rd - turn right.  The Southerlands is at the top of the hill.  Google Southerlands, Front Royal, VA for a map.   Uniform is: White shirt, Navy vest, long red tie, gray slacks, black shoes.

The December 21 performance will be held in the Brandt Student Center, Farrari Room, at the Shenandoah University campus in Winchester, VA.  A map of the campus can be found at:  http://www.su.edu/cf/campus_map/_campus_map.cfm?CFID=6343098&CFTOKEN=53280955.  The Brandt Student Center is identified as building 39.  The uniform will be white shirt, navy vest, long red tie, gray slacks, and black shoes.  Due to the early time of this engagement it is imperative that all members arrive no later than 7:45 AM.  Allow plenty of time to find the building and parking area.

The Annual Apple Capital Chorus Show

The Apple Capital Chorus show featuring the award winning quartets, the Sweet Adelines quartet, Sound Advice and the Barbershop Harmony Society quartet,Gents Nite Out was a huge success.   A unique event in the show was the introduction of the High School Barbershop quartet, Pitch Please who's performance was enthusiastically received.
